STUDIO POLICY UPDATE:
Students are placed on a first come, first serve basis. In the event you miss several lessons, such as a Summer Break, the Studio will not be able to hold your place. We will accommodate you according to the available times upon your return.
WHAT DO I NEED FOR
VIRTUAL LESSONS?
1) A newer laptop or desktop computer. Newer IPhones and Ipads may also be used for Facetime lessons. Sometimes older electronics can contribute to a slower online experience causing extreme lagging.
2) A headset you can connect to your computer. Headsets will create a more professional sound and lesson experience. If you do not have a headset, make sure your speaker is in optimum condition.
3) A computer stand that allows a clear view of your hands on the keyboard/piano for Piano Lessons or a clear view of your posture and facial structure for Voice Lessons.
4) A quiet space. It is important to have a designated workspace free of sound and distractions for a productive lesson.
5) Materials. Be sure to have all the music you will be working on at your fingertips in preparation for the lesson. You may also need a pencil handy to write in fingerings and notes.
Testimonials...
She also has also dabbled in composition, having created a three movement arrangement while studying at TWU, one movement of which her professor described as "Chopinesque."
Diana is an advocate of a variety of musical styles, and also listens to many genres of music. Her acceptance of music her students enjoy has led to a strong musical partnership wherein students enjoy learning and have feedback and control over musical repertoire choices.
Her most recent endeavors include Charity Benefit Concerts (2019).
Her success as a teacher can be attributed to the example and inspiration of her teachers. Diana's past vocal instructors include Jeffrey Norris, of Interlochen and Elaine Rugila, a graduate of The Oberlin Conservatory, and Ms. Beverly Hoch and Ms. Suzanne Bowles of performance acclaim and faculty at Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas, accessible to the DFW Metroplex and the oldest university Music Program in Texas.
Her past choral instructors include Director David M. Ward, of the Seaway Chorale, former Director Matthew Hazelwood, of Interlochen, and Texas Woman's University Director, Joni Jensen.

Her past piano instructors include Texas Woman's University Prof. Debbie Campanaro, Dr. Michael Coonrod, of Interlochen, and Olga Tcherniak at St. Clair County.
Her past Marching Band and Symphony Instructors were Mrs. Emilie La Roux of St. Mary's Catholic Central and Robert McMillan, of Woodhaven High and Brownstown Middle Schools.
The success of her students is owed to their continual practice and competitive involvement in solo recitals and group ensembles through school as well as private festivals that are sponsored through local and state teacher associations.
Just as essential is the support of their parents and the practical feedback of their team of teachers.
Di enjoys helping students with their own compositions, and uses her music generalist skills for a well-rounded approach to prepare them for sing & play performances all over the DFW Metroplex, including Dallas, Carrollton, Plano, Irving or Frisco.
*High Quality Video and Audio Recordings of student performances are available.
Diana Buckholz, B.A., Music, Texas Woman's University, Summa Cum Laude and B.A., University of Michigan, Cum Laude
Current Vocal Chairperson, Former Treasurer of Carrollton Music Teachers Association, TMTA, MTNA & Suzuki Member
Di fine tuned her natural musical talents during her studies at one of the most prestigious arts schools in the United States, Interlochen Arts Academy.
While there, she also revisited various other art forms, such as poetry and dance (One of her earliest memories is of putting on her tutu at the Toledo Ballet Studio, amongst a sea of tutus.)
Her language experience that she infuses into every Voice lesson comes both from formal education, and from personally being widely travelled.
A person of many interests, she is still just a regular gal with activities outside of music devoted to her pets, yoga, domestic errands, and spending time with family.
Di has experience acting in theatrical and musical productions, as well as commercial voice-over work. She draws on her experience to coach her students for their auditions and performances.
She has a long history of competitions and Detroit Metro area show choir performances, in the Seaway Chorale for Voices of the Young and Youth Sings, from the elementary to high school years.
She competed in Solo and Ensemble Music Festivals, where she won first place medals in Voice and Symphonic Band Performance.
Her Instrumental Ensemble competition experience was gained through her past Marching Band and Symphony performances with the Trombone.
In the past she has given solo performances sponsored by Voces Intimae and a TWU Choir Performance at the Lincoln Center (NYC) in April 2015, as well as playing in an ensemble as a jazz pianist at Collin County Community College's Jazz Camp.
